The weather is heating up and so are the barbecues. It's time to start planning out your summer weekends, and how better to do it than by checking out what food festivals are happening.
June 7-17 - Italian Week
In the evenings, from 6:00 pm Friday and Saturday, Preston Street closes to traffic, and opens the whole street to pedestrians, buskers, artists, musicians, and sidewalk cafe's. June 8-10 - WestFest 2007
Westboro Village's festival of music, art and life. WestFest is a diverse celebration that includes music, visual, literary, dance, spoken word and theatre. Check out the offering from restaurants all through out Westboro. More details - http://www.westfest.ca
June 15-17 - Festival Franco-Ontarien
Bringing together thousands of French speakers as well as lovers of the French language to the heart of the National Capital Region.
June 21-25 - Chicken 'N Rib Cook Off
Teams from Canada and the United States will take over Sparks Street and compete for prize as best rib, best rib sauce, best chicken and best chicken sauce. Finger-lickin' good!
