rob mclennan says...
"How can you go wrong with gravy pizza?"
rob mclennan is one of the celebrities we approached for the latest addition of CheapEats Ottawa. It was perfect timing too, since rob's new book Ottawa: The Unknown City is launching this weekend.
rob's recommendation for CheapEats? Gravy Pizza at House of Georgie:
House of Georgie & Sorento's Pizzeria, 211 Gilmour Street @ Elgin, 613.238.3333, houseofgeorgie.com
"How can you go wrong with gravy pizza?
Exactly what it sounds like, House of Georgie sells individual pizza slices covered in their own mix of spicy gravy, and the unique taste is enough to convince just about any palate. It might appear to be a hidden corner, but the line-ups on any given evening can be quite long."
In addition to the gravy pizza, which is well worth a try even if just to say you have, check out the launch party for rob's new book Ottawa: The Unknown City on Saturday March 15th, 2008 at Nicholas Hoare from 2pm-4pm.
